The new TI-Nspire will be eXtra

It will have extra color, have extra battery life, and have extra memory. It will be extra thin, be extra bright, and will be expandable. It is coming this summer. It will be good.

"Will os 3.0 be able to compute non interger factorials? For example entering (3/2)! gives an error saying 'agument must be in a specified domain' but my ti 84 and ti 86 can compute it. Is this fixed in the new os?"

Infinigons, etc.: Is programming the new math?

Infinigons, etc.: Is programming the new math?: "I learned to minimize lectures. Kids (and all people) learn programming by doing. Giving them a few examples to follow and execute on their own is much more effective than parsing code as a class in lecture format (at least with my group, which tended to get squirrelly really quickly)."

Oh and if you ever feel like you don't need programming skills because you will never program anything, do it for your children/students. "If you have any say in this whatsoever, teach your kids programming! (Even if that means you teach yourself programming along the way.)"
